For SketchUp 2017 and above, Windows & Mac (7-Days trial).
A problem was raised by Mac/OSX users on the initial release of the version 1.5.3.
This has been fixed, so make sure to download the latest rbz from the button above.

#Features & Release Notes
BIMShell v1.5.3
Major performance boost for the shell generation processes. The core parts of the algorithm were
revisited and their implementation efficiency improved, leading to operations up to 10x faster
than with previous versions.
Orientation adjustment of models is now optional. The option allows to align models
automatically and temporarily to the main axes in order to find the best fitting envelopes.
However, the alignment is not necessary when the model is already well aligned and it may fail on
complex models with a lot of oblique surfaces (like gabled roof). The user can now decide to
perform it or not, and pick the best results.
A brand new User Interface is introduced (Control Panel) to allow accessing the tool's operations
directly from a window dialog. The buttons under the Extension tab in SketchUp are also kept.
No more resolution limit! An internal limitation to the minimum grid resolution applicable was removed
thanks to a more efficient memory management. This is convenient for applications like 3D printing that
may require smaller resolutions (which genrally require more RAM).
The trial licence can now be activated directly from the UI (Control Panel) without the need to go online
and fill a 0$ payment form.
Multiple SketchUp sessions can now be handled without error being thrown.
Multiple bug fixes, code cleaning and improvements.
BIMShell v1.1.0
Fixed compatibility issues with SketchUp 2023 and above.
Minor improvement on the UI.
Access issue raised by users located in China due to server access restriction linked to licencing. A workaround has been implemented but is not guaranteed to work uniformely.
BIMShell v1.0.2
Footprint Shell: (No licence required)
generates a shell that corresponds to the extruded footprint of the model (on the Z axis).
Voxel Shell:
generates a watertight approximation of the models' envelope using a voxel data structure.
It gives control over the voxel resolution to be used to create the shell. Smaller resolutions are more precise but more expensive computationally.
If the model has gaps larger than the chosen resolution, the process will likely generate faces at the interior of the model.
It will nevertheless produce simpler models compared to the original ones in general.
Outer Shell Faces:
generates a shell version of the model by copying the faces located at its exterior.
It offers a control on the resolution of the optimized grid that is used to shoot rays on the model from its exterior.
Similarly to Voxel Shell, if the interior/exterior spaces of the model are ill-defined (because of gaps, an open door or windows, etc.), the
resulting envelope model is likely to include interior faces as well.
